We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team in Delft.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will implement the control software for coarse position assembly calibration tool (CCT) that will be used in an industrial environment to automatically perform the validation and calibration of coarse position assemblies, critical component in laser satellite communication systems, after manufacturing.
Please note that this role is intended to last until April, with the possibility but no guarantee to be extended.
Main responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of the CCT control software.
- Implement the CCT control software in cooperation with other software engineers.
- Integrate the CCT control software with the CCT hardware.
Requirements
- You have an educational degree in technical sciences, preferably Physics or Electronics.
- You have at least 5 years of full-time experience with software development for high-tech systems, including: design, implementation, integration and test.
- You have extended experience with and knowledge of:

- Multi-threaded programming.
- Real-time programming.
- Device driver development.
- GUI development.
- You are experienced in Python, C, C++ and OOP.
- You have extended experience with Beckhoff PLC programming using the Structured Text (ST) language.
- You have hands-on experience with computer hardware, operating systems and standard laboratory equipment.
