As Associate Accountant within Payroll Finance EMEA, you are a key player in the end-to-end hire-to-retire value stream.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Managing employee-related financial transactions such as monthly payroll entries, bonus accrual calculations, time-off calculations and restructuring accruals
  • Performing payroll-related processes with high quality and accuracy
  • Conducting high-quality Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Acting as a business partner by proactively informing and collaborating with key stakeholders on processes, financial impacts, risks and opportunities
  • Compiling and analysing financial information to record transactions, prepare reports and verify accuracy
  • Participating actively in projects that support Medtronic’s broader strategy

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and team player with a hands-on mentality
  • Tech-savvy with an openness to automation and process improvements
  • Interest in developing advanced skills in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBi, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both written and spoken
