To drive this vision forward, the Ecosystems department in Backbase is building the Agentic AI Automation Platform—a next-generation platform that leverages advanced agent-based architectures to automate and optimize complex banking workflows. We operate with a bold startup mindset prioritizing speed, autonomy, and breakthrough innovation.

Who you are

We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer with a passion for building intelligent, context-aware agentic systems. You’ll help shape the core of our Agentic AI Automation Platform that orchestrates and automates complex agentic workflows to deliver measurable outcomes for global banks.

  • 🚀 Experienced: Minimum 6 years in software engineering, with 3+ years developing and delivering enterprise-grade AI applications.
  • 🧠 Technically Strong: Proficient in Python, with deep hands-on experience in Agentic AI frameworks, architectures, design patterns, knowledge-base, AI-search, retrieval-augmented generation, context engineering, evaluation, and guardrailing.
  • 🧩 Agentic Thinker: Well-versed in modern AI agent patterns including MCP, A2A, ACP. You understand how to build modular systems where agents collaborate, reason, and adapt to context dynamically.
  • 🛠️ MLOps / LLMOps Savvy: You’re comfortable with model lifecycle management, prompt versioning, fine tuning, context management, agent monitoring, and AI experimentation using platforms like Azure AI Foundry, HuggingFace, and LangChain.
  • 🌟 Startup Mindset: You're a self-starter—proactive, resourceful, curious, and comfortable moving fast.
