Fleet Robotics is a rapidly growing and innovative organization. Our engineering department plays a crucial role in the technological advancement of Fleet Robotics. This team is responsible for developing new technologies as well as improving existing systems such as our cleaning installations and inspection robots. We work with innovative technologies in the fields of water treatment, robotics, hydraulically driven machines, and automation. The department consists of a team of 16 software and hardware engineers working together on smart solutions to further automate and optimize our operations.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are not only responsible for the mechanical design of our cleaning installations and inspection robots but also for managing your projects from start to finish. This means you will be involved in the full process: from design and procurement of materials and components to construction supervision and commissioning. You will work on both 3D designs and 2D production drawings, and maintain close contact with suppliers, including conducting negotiations. You ensure that your designs are delivered according to schedule and contribute to the ongoing growth and innovation of Fleet Robotics.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Managing the entire project from design to commissioning;
• Designing and developing 3D models and 2D production drawings (Autodesk Inventor);
• Creating P&ID schematics (Autodesk AutoCAD);
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and conducting procurement and negotiation discussions;
• Preparing technical documentation and corresponding manuals.

Job Requirements

To be successful in the role of Mechanical Engineer, we ask for the following:

• A completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field;
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
• A valid driver’s license (category B);
• Living in or near the Delft area;
• Experience with CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor;
• Experience in preparing production drawings;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
• Ability to independently develop technical designs;
• A structured and detail-oriented working style, with strong planning skills.
