40 hours per week, hybrid in Venlo (NL)
What you’ll do
As a Supplier Quality Engineer within Canon Production Printing you are responsible for managing our suppliers in the Mechanics and electronics field, in order to guarantee supplied parts meet the set quality requirements. You assess their quality processes and together with the supplier you ensure that these processes match our production process.
With your vision and result-oriented attitude you inspire and convince internal stakeholders and external suppliers and you translate bottlenecks into (improvement) projects. You lead, participate in and/or assess problem analysis, containment and prevention, both internally and externally. You have a guiding role, you guide the supplier in his preventive measures and you come up with innovative improvement proposals. You also perform analysis and audits at process level.
Together with a team consisting of colleagues from product development (R&D), supply chain management and procurement, you ensure that the parts are delivered according to the agreements made. Close cooperation with suppliers allows you to build a strong relationship with the aim of jointly taking quality assurance to a higher level.
Who you’ll work with
Manufacturing is responsible for the production and timely delivery of ‘best in class’ high mix low volume CPP products within the Canon organization. The Quality Assurance department (locally 20 and worldwide 40 professionals) plays a crucial role in this by guaranteeing the quality of the parts and production processes both internally and at our suppliers. You will be one of 8 Supplier Quality engineers.
Besides the Quality department you will work in close contact with colleagues from other departments, for example Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering and R&D
What you bring
Experience in a similar role would be great, but we are focusing on personality.
