As a Junior Control Officer in the Reconciliations team, you’ll be at the forefront of operational excellence. You’ll:

  • Execute and improve control processes that ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Dive deep into root cause analysis and help resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Drive automation and reduce manual work—LEAN thinking is second nature to you.
  • Test and implement new systems and processes, and provide hands-on support to your team.
  • Keep documentation sharp, up-to-date, and aligned with Rabobank standards

  • Execute across a wide range of global reconciliations—solving exceptions to ensure the reconciliations/controls are in place and run as expected.
  • Conducting deep-dive investigations into the root causes of reconciliation breaks, collaborating with stakeholders across the globe to resolve them swiftly and sustainably.
  • Book and Correct fee related mismatches
  • Initiate and provide insight on technical solutions for our reconciliation tools, ensuring they evolve with the complexity of our operations.
  • Leading the implementation of new processes and driving continuous improvement through simplification, automation, and innovation.

As an Operations Control Officer, you serve as a vital gatekeeper in safeguarding Rabobank’s global financial operations—responsible for identifying and resolving exceptions across a complex web of reconciliations that span brokers, custodies, agents, and of the entire Rabobank Group on a global scale (between different internal and external systems). You’ll dive deep into the root causes of discrepancies, book and correct payment mismatches, and implement technical solutions that enhance the performance of our reconciliation tools. With a sharp focus on risk mitigation, process simplification, and continuous improvement, you’ll play a key role in protecting the financial flows while collaborating with a wide range of international stakeholders. This is a gatekeeper role within a well-established team at the core of Wholesale & Rural Operations.

You and your talent

  • A recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field or demonstrable HBO plus work and thinking level.
  • A sharp analytical mind and a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders across borders and departments.
  • A proactive attitude and a hunger to learn, improve, and lead change.
  • Financial market knowledge and knowledge of excel
  • Preferable Green Belt certified and knowledge of Power BI
