Join SBM Offshore as a Planning Engineer

Purpose

  • As a Planning Engineer, you develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This involves collaboration with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to align project timelines and resources.

Responsibilities

  • You develop detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • You interface with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project data.
  • You monitor project progress, identify deviations to the baseline, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • You prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and performance metrics.
  • You facilitate planning meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • You ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in project planning within the oil and gas sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

SBM Offshore provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, over the full product life-cycle. The Company is market leading in leased floating production systems with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivalled operational experience in this field. The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
