Introduction to the job
Are you passionate about secure, seamless access experiences? Do you thrive in a DevOps environment where automation, innovation, and collaboration are key? At ASML, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated AM DevOps Engineer to help shape the future of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools like Okta and Terraform to deliver secure, scalable authentication solutions that support our global operations.

Role and responsibilities
As an AM DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of the Access Management (AM) team within the IAM Agile Release Train (ART). You’ll design, develop, and operate authentication solutions that are critical to ASML’s security and user experience. Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing Okta cloud-based authentication solutions;
  • Automating administrative access using Terraform;
  • Connecting applications to Okta using SAML, OpenID Connect, and SCIM;
  • Supporting the Product Architect in refining and implementing technical enablers;
  • Actively participating in Scrum events and Agile ceremonies;
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner to deliver high-value capabilities;
  • Providing expert support and consultancy to stakeholders;
  • Ensuring platform security, performance, and compliance.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (security knowledge is a strong plus);
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM);
  • 5+ years of experience with Access Management tooling;
  • Okta workflow experience and certification required;
  • Experience with REST APIs, SCIM, OAuth, and OIDC;
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Jenkins, Apache, Tomcat, Java, and reverse proxy setups;
  • Linux knowledge is a plus;
  • Experience with application onboarding and migrations;
  • Agile Scrum team experience;
  • Strong understanding of security technologies and frameworks;
  • Certifications such as Okta Certified Administrator, TOGAF, ArchiMate, CISSP, CISA, or CISM are a plus.

Skills
Working on the cutting edge of technology, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You cannot and will not work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.

To thrive in this job, we expect the following behavior:

  • You challenge the Agile team toward greater efficiency and drive automation;
  • You contribute to the refinement of work items and break down large tasks;
  • You’re always available to support and spar with your team;
  • You chair sprint reviews and keep the team focused on priorities;
  • You know when to say “no” to protect the team’s focus;
  • You act as the voice of the customer and advocate for value delivery;
  • You take ownership and act like an entrepreneur;
  • You maintain a helicopter view while building strong relationships.

Other information
You’ll report to the IT Group Lead for IAM and work closely with peers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, the IAM System Architect, and the Chief Product Owner. The IAM ART includes teams focused on Identity Governance & Administration, Access Management, Directory Services, Privileged Access Management, and Cryptography Services. Your team is based in Veldhoven (Building 71), with collaboration across locations in the Netherlands and Hyderabad, India. Quarterly PI Planning sessions are held onsite.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
