Do you want to help in shaping the future? Interested in a position that really makes a difference? Good! Group Internal Audit is now recruiting a senior auditor to the team based in the Netherlands.

Our organisation
Group Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve Vattenfall’s operations. It helps Vattenfall accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Both investigation of potential fraud or inappropriate business conduct are an integral part of the audit process. The Head of Group Internal Audit reports independently to the CEO and to the Board of Directors (Audit Committee).

Group Internal Audit
Our main objective is to give assurance and guidance to the Board of Directors and EGM on the effectiveness of Vattenfall’s governance, risk management and internal control. Group Internal Audit is a business- as well as a speaking-partner to the Board, the CEO and the EGM. Group Internal Audit is a “one stop shop” for best practice advice. We also act as an excellent training ground for a continued career in Vattenfall, by exposing fast track members of the department to a variety of situations, activities, management teams and functions within the organisation. Our mix of different competencies valued for our critical and analytical thinking paired with communication skills and broad organisational knowledge allows us to provide valuable insight.

What are you going to do?
Your main tasks will be to conduct internal audit engagements and investigations. The audit engagements are performed in teams and as a leader and/or member of such teams you will be involved in all phases of the engagement from planning to the reporting of the results to management. In the audit engagements you will challenge the existing ways of working in the processes subject to review. You will thereby help identify improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and the robustness of internal controls to help enhance the overall governance environment.

As the scope for Group Internal Audit covers the entire Vattenfall Group, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into different business areas and opportunities to further learning and development.

In addition to the audit engagements, you will also be involved in investigations in response to events reported to the whistle-blower function, which we operate in cooperation with Corporate Legal & Integrity. You will report directly to the Director Internal Audit Netherlands.
