For our location in Heerenveen we are looking for a Process Engineer!

What You Can Expect

As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing our production plants by improving technical processes and workflows.

You will drive innovation across all sites, focusing on sustainable solutions such as new technologies, product development, process safety, and automation. You will:

  • Manage small-scale projects or work packages with limited CAPEX/resources.
  • Act as Project Operations Manager in larger initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and handover of new processes.
  • Create and maintain process documentation using your expertise in:
    • Site-relevant unit operations
    • Chemistry and technology of Additives or Resins processes
    • Process automation and safety
  • Identify optimization opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support manufacturing, site experts, and project teams with technical insights.

You will report to the Manager Process and Technology and contribute to safety studies and have tactical influence within projects.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the (chemical) industry
  • Solid knowledge of project management
  • Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Resilience in dynamic environments and a proactive problem-solver
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
