Process Development Sr Engineer HCF

We, Prysmian Eindhoven, provide our customers all over the world with glass and fiber optic products and thus the first necessity of life: information supply. Our specialty is production of multimode optical fiber for data and telecom in a high-tech production environment in Eindhoven.

Process Development Engineer (fulltime)

As a Process Development Engineer you are responsible for the improvement of existing and the design of new production processes. The main key criteria are manufacturing cost and product quality. The mission takes place within a multinational team, in very close collaboration with the other R&D groups and in direct contact with the process control teams of the group's fiber optic plants.

The basic development of processes takes place within the R&D department. After completion of this phase, the transfer will take place towards Production. Aftercare during the start-up phase in Production is an important part of the job.

You will also improve process control by setting up and introducing new systems and developing the necessary tools. Introducing and implementing new production techniques is also part of this.

Tasks & Activities

• Execute process improvement projects that result in increased revenue or cost savings.
• Lead multidisciplinary expertise team to provide direction for future improvement projects.
• Set up experiments, analyze, draw conclusions and initiate recommendations.
• In multidisciplinary teams break down control problems into causes and set up and execute an improvement plan.
• Support and instruct production in the use of the process control system.
• Support production with process deviations.
• Supervising roll-out projects in production.

Requirements:

• Bachelor+ working and thinking level
• Communication in English

Knowledge and skills:

• Technological knowledge in the field of physics, chemistry, optics or materials science HBO/WO level
• Knowledge of project management and change management

• Must: MS Office
• Pre: Knowledge of Matlab programming language.
