Internship Opportunity at Vlisco: Digital Fashion

Vlisco, a heritage textile brand with nearly 180 years of history, is seeking a motivated and skilled 3D fashion design intern to join its New Product Development team for a unique and forward-looking project. This internship focuses on piloting a cross-departmental digital tool designed to support Vlisco's transition into a more digital and agile design process.

As an intern, you will work closely with an NPD designer and cross-functional teams to develop a proof of concept 3D application that showcases digital silhouettes categorized by product type, target persona, and occasion—with Satin Royal as the initial case study.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to development of a pilot project for a 3D fashion tool tailored to the needs of multiple departments;
• Design and render digital silhouettes using CLO, Blender, ZBrush or similar tools;
• Create a visual library of silhouettes based on specific product ranges, target audiences and key occasions;
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to explore how the tool can enhance: Print Design prototyping, Colour proposal visualization, Internal storytelling and training material, etc.;
• Participation in cross-departmental brainstorming and strategy sessions

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Enrolled in a relevant Fashion Design / 3D Fashion / Digital Textile program;
• Highly skilled in 3D rendering and fashion tools such as CLO, Blender, and ZBrush;
• Passionate about the intersection of heritage, innovation, and digital transformation;
• Proactive, collaborative, and eager to contribute to real-world design challenges.
