International Project Manager (Internship) – ITIA – International Trade & Investment Agency

• Location: In-person preferable, hybrid possible (case-to-case basis).
• Office: Spaces Red Elephant, The Hague (next to Malieveld – central location)
• Availability: 4 or 5 days per week
• Compensation: €300/month
• Start Date: Monday, August 18th, 2025
• Duration: Preferably 6 months, some flexibility possible

• First-hand experience in international trade, sectoral research, real-world market entry, FDI, client acquisition, and lead generation projects

You receive 5% of the total contract value if you originate a client contract, 10% if you also help secure the contract, and 15-20% if you contribute to project execution, depending on your level of involvement. For commissions earned on projects for existing clients, you receive 35% if directly involved in the project
• Potential for future career growth – Based on performance and ITIA’s evolving needs, there may be opportunities to transition into a full-time position at ITIA

The position

As an International Project Manager, you will:

1. Conduct market research on international business trends, trade policies, and FDI opportunities
2. Support economic diplomacy efforts by engaging with economic development agencies, stakeholders, and partners/ clients
3. Assist in outreach, lead generation, and stakeholder engagement with businesses, investors, and government bodies
4. Contribute to reports and presentations on trade, investment, and global economic trends
5. Work in a multilingual and multicultural environment while attending numerous international events, trade shows, and quarterly meetings with our strategic advisory board

Who You Are

Motivated and eager to learn. Prior experience is appreciated but not required. Internationally oriented and interested in global markets, international affairs, business development, trade relations, worldwide networking, etc. What truly matters is your eagerness to gain experience in an international setting.

• Curious and proactive, eager to take on new challenges.
• Ideal languages: English, Dutch, and Spanish. Any other languages are a plus (German, French, Arabic, Mandarin, Portuguese, etc)
• Currently pursuing or completed an HBO/Bachelor/Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Comfortable taking on responsibilities and leading projects from an early stage
• Organized and comfortable onboarding the next wave of interns
