Introduction to the job
As Business Support Specialist you provide support to ASML’s Corporate Intellectual Property (IP) department and continuously improve that support. You will be part of a team that provides support to the IP department in the fields of finance, management reporting, quality and (IT) tooling.
Role and responsibilities
Are you an energetic person who strives for business support excellence that will meet the support needs of the IP department? Does it give you a thrill to further automate and most effectively manage the departments’ financial obligations with outside counsels and ASML’s inventors? And do you like to dive into details, reporting and analysis, or aligning the invention award payment process with HR?
In this position, you will be part of the business support team which has a broad scope of business support activities such as finance, IP management reporting (making the connection between reporting numbers, costs, and translation into IP strategy), quality, tooling, and coordination activities.
In your role, you will primarily support the financial operation within the department and contribute to financial as well as non-financial activities of the business support team. You will, amongst others:

Part time (32 hours a week) employment is preferred for this position, whereby ASML’s remote working policy applies.
The CIP department is responsible for defining and implementing ASML's worldwide IP strategy and for ensuring that ASML preserves freedom to operate and protects its technological innovations through the application of IP laws, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret laws in countries throughout the world. Our approximately 90-person department has offices in Veldhoven in the Netherlands, and Wilton, San Diego and Silicon Valley in the USA.
The position is based in our Head Quarters in Veldhoven and is part of a team of various business process specialists headed by the Team Lead Business Processes who reports to the Manager CIP Support & Administration who reports to the SVP & Chief IP Counsel.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
