As a Senior Compliance Risk Officer, you can make a difference by continuously improving the Global Compliance Risk & Control framework and performing oversight over its implementation.

You and your job

On a day-to-day basis, you will have a variety of tasks, including project management, review and improve the global Compliance Risk and Control framework, participate in working groups, perform data analysis and report on conclusions. You, as part of the Risk & Data team, are the first point of contact of the global compliance network and serve this network accordingly.

Top 3 responsibilities

• You drive the process of the annual update of the Global Compliance Risk & Control framework. This entails global project management in all phases and bank wide stakeholder management.
• You are a (compliance) risk management/SIRA expert. You know what it takes to further develop clear and unambiguous risks and controls and how to improve business ownership of the Risk and Control Framework.
• You are key in embedding Operational Risk management within the Compliance function, ensuring we are up to date with relevant developments and sharing them with those involved.

As a Senior Compliance Risk Officer you will be part of the Risk & Data team, which is one of 4 Global Core Compliance teams within the Compliance department of Rabobank Group - one of the most dynamic departments of the bank. Compliance has a key role in promoting and safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Rabobank Group through its dedicated business line compliance teams for the various markets (e.g. Retail Netherlands, Rural & Retail, Wholesale, Member Banks), and expertise centre on themes such as market abuse, conflicts of interests and financial economic crime.

You and your talent

• Bachelor/ Master background preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Accountancy
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in a financial institution (preferably within a wholesale banking environment), financial authority or as consultant/ external auditor at the Big 4
• A completed certified Compliance Professional/Officer education or willing to start this education
• Preferably working experience in and/or affinity with corporate banking
• Agile and take initiatives, enjoy meeting new challenges and know how to approach multiple hard deadlines
• Combines analytic and professional judgement skills with tact and organization sensitivity
• Able to multitask on several assignments at the same time
• Fluent in English and Dutch
