About this role

We are looking for an analytical Senior Financial Accountant – R2R to take ownership of financial reporting, variance analysis, and process optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring reporting accuracy, identifying financial trends, and delivering insights that support data-driven strategic decision-making.

As a senior member of the R2R team, you will play a key role in driving financial efficiency, working with cross-functional teams, and supporting automation initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who is fully qualified or progressing toward qualification, with strong technical accounting skills and interest in self-learning and developing data-handling and coding skills to enhance financial reporting and automation.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IFRS, improving financial workflows, and contributing to strategic finance initiatives.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Support the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and consolidation process and perform in-depth balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse key financial accounts, including payroll, accruals, leasing, fixed assets, etc.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls
• Perform variance analysis across key accounts and provide insights into financial performance and trends (e.g. payroll, leasing, accruals, and fixed assets).
• Contribute to R2R process optimization and efficiency gains through standardization and automation. Support these initiatives by using data-handling and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
• Support developing dashboards and reporting tools to improve data visualization and decision-making.
• Investigate unusual transactions and discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and participate in projects aimed at automating and optimizing accounting processes.
• Collaborate with Finance (Deliver accurate and actionable insights to senior stakeholders), Payroll, and Tax teams to ensure aligned, high-quality reporting.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors, facilitating smooth and transparent audit processes.
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) or actively pursuing qualification.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial reporting, R2R accounting, or financial analysis.
• Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in IFRS, Dutch GAAP and SFS preparation
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, or similar) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query).
• Experience in payroll-related accounting and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical mindset, with experience in identifying financial trends and process efficiencies.
• Strong interest to self-learn and develop data-handling and coding skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams i.e. international environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
