For our Animal Health location in Boxmeer (The Netherlands) we are currently recruiting a Lab Engineer.

Welcome to our team

Global Animal Health Manufacturing IT Boxmeer delivers IT, laboratory, and automation solutions to the manufacturing sites Boxmeer and De Bilt. This encompasses a wide range of laboratory technologies, including LIMS, ELN, lab instruments and supporting IT applications, all aligned to a goal of ensuring frictionless flow of data and more efficient business operations.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to drive the consistent delivery of IT and laboratory projects across the Integrated Process Teams and Centers of Excellence at the Boxmeer and De Bilt sites. Besides managing your own projects, you will be responsible for developing the project management competence and will provide oversight and guidance to the project managers in the area teams. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on lab systems in our project teams. You will be able to make impact by participating in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to ensure that our lab systems operate with minimal downtime. You will work closely with the Business Technology Partners to ensure timely delivery of projects according to the agreements made with our business stakeholders. You will report to the Site Digital Manufacturing Operations Lead.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Drive standardization in project management methodologies and procedures across project teams based on global standards.
  • Maintain oversight of multiple projects schedules with lab teams and keep an updated status and task overview in our project management tools.
  • Lead the project scheduling process with clear milestones, resource plan, deliverables, dependencies and critical path.
  • Evaluate lab systems and develop strategies to optimize and ensure the quality and stability of lab systems through future expansion, replacement or upgrade.
  • Lead investigations of lab incidents and problems to prevent recurrence including the development and implementation of corrective actions (root cause analysis).
  • On-floor support of IT related lab activities.
  • Ensure and promote collaboration with other IT divisions as well as parts of our manufacturing network, both locally and globally, to break-down organizational boundaries in favour of a highly collaborative and customer-centric culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, such as pharma, biotechnology, food or chemicals.
  • At least 2 years proven project management experience managing technical shopfloor projects in laboratory and/or manufacturing.
  • Understanding of GxP regulated environment and validation requirements.
  • Certified in project management methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in using project management tooling (e.g. MS Project).
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in English and preferable in Dutch.
  • Currently living near the site in Boxmeer, Netherlands. Relocation support is not offered.
