SAP Advisory - S4HANA Data Transformation Advisor

The work

Accenture is looking for a strategic SAP S/4HANA Data Transformation Advisor to help our clients navigate their S/4HANA transformation journeys. In this role, you will be helping to shape enterprise-wide data strategies, implementing robust governance frameworks, and guiding the seamless transformation of data across SAP landscapes.

Working as part of our SAP Advisory Practice, you’ll collaborate with business and IT stakeholders across domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, and HR. You’ll help shape data architectures, guide technology adoption, and ensure that clients are ready to scale and innovate with clean, consistent, and connected data at the core of their operations.

Our ideal candidate brings expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Data Governance and Master Data Management
  • Analytics and Reporting enablement on SAP platforms
  • Data Migration and Transformation

Responsibilities Data Strategy & Governance:

  • Engage with diverse stakeholders from data owners to C-suite executives to align IT and data strategies with overall business goals, shaping roadmaps for S/4HANA transformations.
  • Define and implement data governance frameworks, including ownership models, stewardship roles, and escalation paths.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), supporting clients in designing governance models and workflows for core data domains (e.g., customer, vendor, material, finance).
  • Promote data as a strategic asset by aligning governance with broader business and compliance requirements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes that impact enterprise data governance.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to expand our advisory services across governance, migration, and analytics.
  • Foster a learning culture by mentoring team members and sharing expertise across the SAP data transformation space

Responsibilities Data Design & Blueprinting:

  • Facilitate workshops to assess current-state data processes and define future-state designs across key functional areas.
  • Lead the design of end-to-end data solutions for either SAP MDG, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Support the development of enterprise data models and architecture that enable high-quality analytics and insights.
  • Document and validate data requirements with business and IT stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other domains.
  • Translate business reporting needs into scalable analytics solutions using SAP HANA Cloud and SAC.
  • Ensure that blueprinting activities are informed by both governance needs and migration feasibility.

Responsibilities Data Integration & Enablement:

  • Provide advisory guidance on data migration strategies early in the transformation lifecycle, including scope definition, tooling selection, and sequencing.
  • Recommend and support tools such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and SAP Data Services for structured data movement and harmonization.
  • Advise clients on data profiling, quality assessment, and cleansing initiatives to improve readiness for transformation.
  • Support the enablement of integrated analytics by aligning SAP Datasphere and BDC solutions with clean, governed source data.
  • Ensure that foundational data structures support downstream enablement of analytics, AI/ML innovations, and real-time reporting.
