Your role

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Digital Applications team, you’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of resilient, microservices-based applications that enhance Allseas’ offshore operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll work with IoT data, user input, and business-critical systems to deliver smart, scalable software solutions that drive operational excellence and unlock new capabilities across our fleet.

You will take ownership of building high-performing microservices that support automation, performance monitoring, and efficiency improvements. Your ability to tackle complex challenges with modern engineering practices ensures seamless integration with existing systems while continuously pushing the boundaries of digital vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead software development projects for engineering applications from concept to deployment, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with system requirements.
  • Design and oversee software architecture for cloud-native applications, both on-premise and at the edge, driving efficiency and enabling new capabilities.
  • Build and maintain microservices in Python, Go, and React, adhering to clean-code principles and domain-driven design.
  • Monitor, profile, and troubleshoot live services using metrics, dashboards, and centralized logging. Implement end-to-end tracing to proactively identify bottlenecks, failures, and areas for optimization.
  • Ensure long-term supportability by writing and maintaining comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests to guarantee service quality and performance.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

What we expect from you

  • At least 4 years of experience in software development and architecture, with a strong focus on event-driven and cloud-native systems.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Eagerness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve through iteration and feedback.
  • Strong team player with a broad interest in technology and a drive for innovation.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, and SQL. Experience with C# is a plus.

Additional Points

  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab.
  • Experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment, production, or maritime sectors is a plus.
