The R&D Academy is responsible for developing learning solutions, delivering training, and supporting the R&D organization within ASML with the development of our people.

Introduction to the job

As a Learning Solution Designer, you are responsible for the analysis of learning needs, the design and the development of learning methods intended for a large and varied audience of ASML engineers, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective learning. You provide Subject Matter Experts didactical support when they create their own training or, based on their input, you also develop (eLearning) solutions yourself. You work on two to three solutions simultaneously. Together with other Learning Solution Designers, Learning Architects, Learning Business Partners and Subject Matter Experts from the business, you ensure that learning solutions fit in a balanced learning curriculum.

Roles and responsibilities

In this role you will collaborate with Learning business partners to understand the business requirements and the target groups. With colleague learning solution designers and architects to ensure an optimal integrated learning experience in the learning solution design. And with diverse stakeholders within and outside of the R&D academy for alignment. Other responsibilities are:

  • Deliver and improve learning methods that are used and embedded in the business
  • Focus on what works well for the learners in daily practice, using a variance of learning solutions. Translate learning needs into high level learning solutions using e-learning, VR, Simulations and other means and methods.
  • Ensure quality and on-time learning solutions are provided. Make sure that this includes new innovative ways of learning and training using design thinking.
  • Analyze learning data to use for improvement of learning activities.
  • Report and communicate clearly about the status and manage expectations.
  • Apply Return of Investment (ROI) measurements.
  • Work with external parties representing ASML methods and processes.

Education & experience

  • Didactical background with knowledge and experience of design and development of (digital) learning activities.
  • Experience with eLearning development platform Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Bachelor / Master's degree with solid experience or equivalent working and thinking level.

Other information

R&D consists of our Development & Engineering organization (D&E), our Business Lines (Apps, DUV, NXE, EXE and MPS) and Research & Technologies. As an R&D Academy, we report into the Performance & Integration Cluster within D&E. We have a solid reporting line in the D&E P&I QBP cluster and a dotted line to the Dean of the ASML Academies. The R&D Academy is part of a network of 8 academies across ASML. We support approximately 15,000 colleagues with our services.

The holder of this position reports to the group leader learning development in the R&D Academy.
