Introduction to the Job

The ASML Manufacturing Academy, which focuses on technical learning solutions, is in Veldhoven (NL) and is seeking a talented L&KM Solution Designer to join our Design & Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative learning experiences that engage and inspire learners. As a learning professional (instructional designer), you collaborate with subject matter experts, peers, technical trainers, and other stakeholders within the organization to create performance-based learning experiences.

Learning & Development at ASML consists of eight different academies, each providing learning & knowledge solutions on topics relevant for employees within their sector.

Role and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze learning needs and identify learning objectives
  • Gather information and insights from experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to support learning development
  • Design and develop effective, efficient and engaging learning materials (including detailed storyboards for e-learning modules, presentations, manuals, and assessments) using instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, functionality, and usability of learning materials
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards and emerging technologies in learning design and development

Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in learning and development in organizations, human resource development, educational sciences, or related field
  • Proven experience in instructional design and crafting thorough storyboards for diverse learning materials
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven creative thinking and problem solving-abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a cross-sector team in a matrix organization
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams skills

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline) and learning management systems
  • 5 Moments of Need® Designer Certificate
  • Experience in evaluation methods, tools and techniques
