About this role

The intern assists in International Talent Acquisition (TA), Learning & Development (L&D) Programs, responsible for maintaining and implementing parts of the Barentz L&D process: the Barentz Academy, the online L&D application (Cornerstone), ensuring the quality of learning and development programs/initiatives and related processes. The intern also assists in Talent Acquisition Projects by planning interviews with hiring managers, conducting phone screen interviews, and supporting Employer Branding Projects.

Responsibilities

Learning & Development

  • Helps developing requested L&D solutions with Content Owners to develop their required knowledge, skills and behavior, within budgetary constraints.
  • Suggests improvements to the Barentz L&D programs, both on the content of Cornerstone and the content of the Barentz Academy.
  • Is co-responsible with the Group L&D Manager for maintenance to ensure high-quality Barentz Academy training courses.
  • Answers questions from Barentz employees/resolves issues.
  • Assists with the implementation of communications and promotional strategies to ensure awareness of L&D opportunities within Barentz worldwide.
  • Helps as an internal advisor on learning and development.

Talent Acquisition

  • Helps with posting vacancies online.
  • Conducts phone screen interviews and plans interviews with hiring managers.
  • Helps with job offers and onboarding of new hires.
  • Calibration of the assessment tooling (optimizing lenses).
  • Support in Employer Branding Projects, e.g., optimize the career pages on the intranet and internet, Employer Value Proposition positioning, and onboarding projects.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's study in Human Resource Management or related education in progress.
  • Solid written and verbal command of the English language, Dutch is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude to learn, get things done, and become the best in class
  • Outgoing personality, getting energized from talking to people; curious by nature is a plus.
  • Team player, open to working with different cultures.
  • Service-oriented communicator; helpful and clear in conveying messages.
  • Enrolled in a Dutch university for the whole internship period.
