Your role

As an Electrical Engineer you will design the electronics of custom built equipment/machinery from scratch. This means that the number of series is limited. Together with the end users you will determine what the electronic system is supposed to achieve and define functional requirement, inputs, outputs and interfaces. You will make a schematic design and design the pcb as well. You are responsible for the component selection and the prototyping. Adjustment needed after testing and quality control will be implemented to the prototype followed by production, testing and quality control of the prototype.

Very important challenges during the designing process are:

  • Being able to let different industrial protocols communicate with each other;
  • Signal integrity must be guaranteed;
  • Digital signal processing (use of audio buffers or audio cleaning with filters).

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;
  • Five years of proven experience in developing electronics;
  • You are not afraid of software development.

Besides the above mentioned requirements, you recognise yourself in the following characteristics. You are very flexible and keep up the positive spirit if a project makes a 90 degree turn from one day to the other. You enjoy starting from scratch and have plenty ideas how to solve a task or problem. Besides that, you like being responsible from concept to commissioning and you are able to take decisions by yourself. Your good communication skills will help you to defend and explain the choices you made to everybody involved.
