BridgeFund is looking for a curious and driven Data Intern to join our team in Amsterdam. What You'll Be Doing (Your Impact Zone!):

As our Data Intern, you'll work closely with our data team, which consists of data analysts, data engineers, data scientists and credit risk modellers experts. You will get hands-on experience:

• Data Exploration and Feature Engineering: Dive deep into diverse datasets, perform exploratory data analysis, and engineer features to enhance model performance.
• Machine Learning Model Development: Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models for predictive analytics, including natural language processing and time series forecasting if applicable.
• AI Model Deployment: Assist in the deployment of AI models and monitor their performance in a real-world setting.
• Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis Testing: Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to validate findings and drive data-informed decisions.
• Data Pipeline Optimization: Contribute to the improvement of data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure efficient data processing and model training.
• Advanced Tooling Exposure: Work with industry-standard tools like SQL, Python (with libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow), R, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) if applicable.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to solve complex business challenges and contribute fresh ideas to leverage data science.

Who We're Looking For (Your Profile):

• You are in the final stages of your Bachelor's or Master's (4th year) degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study.
• You have a solid foundational knowledge of data concepts and a strong analytical mindset.
• You are naturally curious, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy solving puzzles with data.
• You possess a strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data manipulation.
• You have experience with Python and relevant programs (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas) and/or R.
• You can clearly communicate your findings (our company language is Dutch, but the data and tech teams often work in English, so strong English proficiency is important).
• You are proactive, a true team player, and eager to learn and grow. You are available for 40 hours per week for a minimum period of 4 months.
