Our Commercial & Legal Excellence team at Loyens & Loeff plays a pivotal role in shaping our business development strategy. As a leading legal and tax partner, we offer a dynamic and challenging environment where your contributions will make a real impact.

Your responsibilities:

  • drive business development: Lead initiatives across various expertise groups, strategically advising lawyers and executing go-to-market strategies to identify new opportunities for business growth and brand building;
  • develop & implement Business Plans: Create robust business plans for each expertise group, focusing on client/target development, and cross-selling initiatives;
  • Key Clients: manage the annual calendar and drive key milestones in collaboration with Partners and client teams, gathering and analyzing insights to inform strategic decisions. By translating findings into actionable learnings, you will continuously refine our approach to strengthen and deepen relationships with Key Clients.
  • collaborate & innovate: Identify cross-selling opportunities between expertise groups and offices, and work closely with firmwide colleagues to share and leverage best practices;
  • stay ahead of trends: Monitor trends in the Dutch legal and tax landscape, and seize PR and media opportunities to enhance our firm's image;
  • organise impactful events: Develop and coordinate client, PR, and social events, defining target groups and creating programs that strengthen and promote our firm's reputation;
  • track & report: Work closely with our Partners and Group Coordinators to track activities and results, ensuring continuous improvement and success.

Your profile:

  • educational background: At least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Development or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred;
  • professional experience: 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, ideally in a law firm;
  • language skills: An excellent understanding of English;
  • technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). A previous experience with one or several CRM systems is a plus;
  • personal attributes: Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential. Entrepreneurial mindset, result-driven, structured, organised and proactive, autonomous;
  • project management: Advanced project management skills and a self-starting ability to get things done.

This position is based in the Netherlands. You will be part of the Commercial Excellence Department consisting of more than 20 people.
