ICC CAPA Owner/Scrum Master at Philips

Job Description

As a CAPA Owner and Scrum Master in our Image-Guided Therapy Systems (IGT-S) team, you’ll combine quality leadership with agile coordination. You'll lead high-impact investigations and corrective actions to safeguard product quality and compliance, while also driving operational focus and alignment within a cross-functional development team.

Your role:

  • Take full ownership of CAPAs—from initiation to closure—serving as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams and ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to uncover underlying factors, supported by data-driven insights from complaints, system logs, defect rates, and more.
  • Define clear, actionable plans with measurable outcomes, collaborating across a variety of stakeholders to implement preventive solutions and avoid recurrence.
  • Agile Team Support including Planning, prioritizing, and maintaining the team backlog. Track execution progress, manage dependencies and risks, and escalate impediments to enable smooth delivery.
  • Ensure thorough, concise, and compliant documentation of all CAPA activities—from findings to validations—aligned with industry regulations while meeting global quality standards and supports successful audits and inspections.

You’re the right fit if:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role within R&D in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in Project management, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Proven expertise in root cause analysis techniques and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

Advantages:

  • Understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in medical imaging or in understanding of X-ray physics and operation principles
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green or Black Belt)
