For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a SAP Architect in our Information Systems (IS) Division.

About the role:
To lead and drive transformation within YME through a strategic SAP initiative—Yamaha to Next Stage (YNS). The SAP Architect will be pivotal in architecting the future of Yamaha Motor Europe's SAP landscape, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge and delivers significant business value. This role involves shaping the ongoing evolution of SAP-based solutions in alignment with the long-term enterprise architecture roadmap, beyond the initial YNS program.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a Core Business Transformation: Be the architect of SAP solutions, driving a comprehensive transformation that will revolutionize our operations and set us up for long-term success;
  • Define Technical Vision: Define and maintain the overall technical architecture, including system landscape, integration points, and data flows, ensuring alignment with our strategic business objectives;
  • Drive Innovation and Best Practices: Challenge proposed solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and SAP standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and explore opportunities to leverage emerging technologies;
  • Ensure End-to-End Delivery: Take ownership from inception to go-live and beyond, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of milestones;
  • Champion Integration and Interoperability: Lead the design and implementation of seamless integrations with other systems, ensuring data consistency and quality across the entire solution;
  • Provide Strategic Input: Ensure the latest capabilities and functionality meet business and IT requirements compliant with Yamaha standards;
  • Shape the Future of Automotive Solutions: Leverage your deep understanding of the automotive industry to design and implement SAP solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities of our sector.

What do you bring?

  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and other SAP modules;
  • Expertise in the design of SAP S/4HANA architectures and integration;
  • Experience within different process streams to identify all cross-module end-to-end-processes;
  • Extensive and recent experience within the automotive industry is an added advantage;
  • Knowledge in the transformation of SAP ECC or non-SAP Legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA;
  • Strong leadership and project management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team;
  • Experience in managing large-scale, multi-year projects;
  • Strong understanding of IT governance and risk management principles;
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
