The job
As Financial Controller, you will work in the financial department alongside six colleagues, supporting the Finance Manager, Ton Vink. You will be responsible for financial administration and the internal control of financial flows and risks on a daily basis. You will provide input for, and support the preparation of, financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, while keeping an eye on the corresponding deadlines. You have a thorough understanding of figures and will be critical where necessary. Furthermore, you will share knowledge with your colleagues to help take the department to the next level. Your responsibilities are:

• Managing the financial administration, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Monthly financial reporting, including reconciliation of trade and financial applications.
• Ensuring the timely and correct submission of VAT returns in various countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and the UK/Northern Ireland. You are also an internal source of information on VAT regulations.
• Analyzing data and preparing internal and external reports, including CSRD reports.
• Assisting with the audit of the annual accounts by external auditors.
• Maintaining and implementing the control framework.
• Optimizing and streamlining various financial and administrative processes.

Who you are
Most important is that you are critical and analytical, but also pragmatic when needed. To be successful at Cefetra Dairy, you need to be a self-starter with an open mind and a curious nature. We would love to hear your thoughts on the duties and responsibilities of the role. Ideally:

• Have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent working level) in Finance & Control.
• You have 2–5 years' experience in financial administration or accountancy.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
• You are familiar with international VAT legislation and able to apply it in practice.
