Position summary:

The Manager, IT Business Analysis is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the European teams. He/She will work closely with the IT Business Partner Europe and IT Business partner Data and Analytics Europe to ensure consistency in the customer relationship in the Data scope. He/She will be responsible for providing data management knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. The Business Analysis Manager works to understand complex business needs and (data related) processes and to act as a liaison between the business and technical teams. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business analysts. They are responsible for understanding (data related) business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IS technical teams for critical and complex projects. Individuals in this position have an understanding of (Master) Data related business processes, data integrations, experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with business users at all levels in the business.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the European business teams and act as a liaison between the IS Business partner Data and Analytics Europe, IS teams and the European Division.
  • Build a strong understanding of the commercial data flows and business processes (including sales, marketing, and other associated functions) within Europe and apply this understanding to IS strategies and implementations.
  • Responsibilities will focus on Data and Analytics, data flows between systems, and master data management.
  • Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.
  • Manage relationships with high level business stakeholders.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.
  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teams.

Education & special trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred.
  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience is required
  • Experience managing data flows between systems is required.
  • Experience with master data management and master data governance is preferred. Medical device and/or life science industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.
  • Experience with process mapping is required.
  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
  • Experience working in an agency-regulated environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.
