AI-native Developer at Nedap

What are you going to do?

Nedap has recently established a new AI team aimed at accelerating and broadening the adoption of AI within the organization. This team consists of three people and supports our four main markets in various ways.

As an AI-native Developer, you inspire and enable teams to integrate AI, automation, and conversational interfaces into their daily work. You roll out organization-wide tooling, build proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and keep colleagues sharp in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

You collaborate with internal stakeholders from all corners of the organization. Think of development teams, product owners, and business leads from our Healthcare, Livestock Management, Retail, and Security Management markets.

Your responsibilities

• Developer enablement: You organize workshops, pair program, and establish AI-assisted coding best practices in Git repositories;
• Co-creating automations: You build and deliver time-saving PoCs, handing them over to teams within a year;
• Community building: You actively share relevant AI developments and knowledge across the organization;
• Tooling implementation: You drive adoption of AI tools such as OpenAI, Super, n8n, and custom GPTs;
• Governance & security: You evaluate new tools, define usage guidelines, and manage access and usage;
• Support & mentoring.

Your team

As an AI-native Developer, you are part of the new AI Enablement Team. Together with two other colleagues, you work from a central position to support AI adoption across all business units. You report to André Foeken, who also leads the AI Taskforce. The team works in a hybrid setup but is regularly present at the Groenlo campus for co-creation and internal sessions.

Required experience and skills

As an AI-native Developer, you play a key role in the success of the AI Enablement Team. You are proactive, energetic, and comfortable navigating both technology and people. You enjoy figuring things out on the fly, love to learn, and enthusiastically share your knowledge.

You also identify with the following:

• Curious: You’re intrinsically motivated to stay up to date in the world of AI;
• LLM experience: You have hands-on experience with various models and prompt engineering;
• Programming skills: You can quickly build PoCs in at least one programming language;
• AI-first mindset: Using AI is naturally embedded in your daily workflow;
• Automation: You’re familiar with tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make;
• Cloud & DevOps: You can containerize and deploy small services;
• Teaching skills.

Good to know: This is a 32–38 hour per week position. Hybrid working is the norm at Nedap, and you’ll coordinate with your team how often you're on campus in Groenlo. For ambassador-type tasks, physical presence is expected.
