Your responsibilities as Senior Solution Architect

You’ll take ownership of platform-level architectural design and long-term technical strategy, ensuring we’re creating secure, scalable, and sustainable systems. You’ll work cross-functionally to:

• Evaluate existing architecture and recommend improvements
• Define architectural direction for new products and platform capabilities
• Guide teams in adopting best practices
• Collaborate on the strategic roadmap with Business Architects
• Ensure architectural alignment across squads and domains
• Align with enterprise architecture standards
• Translate business needs into architectural frameworks and technical solutions

What you bring to One!lab

We’re looking for a seasoned architect with a go-fix mentality—someone who doesn’t just identify problems but takes initiative to solve them. You are open, curious, and eager to learn. You value collaboration and lead with both confidence and humility.

You are experienced in:

• Proven experience in building large scale data platforms (must have)
• Azure Data and AI services like Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, AKS
• Architectural modeling (ideally Archimate)
• Translating business needs into technical requirements
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and corporate compliance
• Designing secure, scalable Azure solutions
• API management and interfacing systems
• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Understanding of modern data architectures (data lakehouse, data mesh)
• Designing systems with microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture
• Quality assurance, software development processes, and monitoring

You excel at:

• Extensive experience with Azure security architecture, including the design and implementation of enterprise-grade security models using Azure Key Vault, managed identities, RBAC, conditional access policies, private link/endpoint configurations, network security groups (NSGs), firewall rules, and end-to-end encryption strategies within highly regulated environments
• Leading cross-functional teams and mentoring others
• Communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively in English
• Making architecture understandable and actionable across disciplines
• Navigating complexity in large organizations while holding true to architectural principles
• Driving collaboration across squads and departments
• Learning continuously and inspiring others to do the same

This is what we offer you

• Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,381 and EUR 7,687 (scale 10) for a 36 hour week
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• 10% Employee Benefit Budget
• EUR 1,400 development budget per year
• Hybrid working: balance between home and office work (possible for most roles)
• A pension, for which you can set the maximum amount of your personal contribution
