Job Summary

The Asset Analyst plays a crucial role in monitoring, analysing, and optimising the performance of iwell’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across their lifecycle. As part of the Operations Team, you will leverage data to provide actionable insights that ensure asset reliability, efficiency, and value creation for customers. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends that drive operational improvements and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Analysis:

  • Continuously monitor the performance of deployed Battery Energy Storage Systems using iwell’s data platforms.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to optimise system performance.
  • Develop reports on asset performance, highlighting KPIs, deviations, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in setting up new systems, execute performance tests, and optimize configuration.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Provide clear, actionable insights to internal teams, including Operations, Field Support, and Product Development, to ensure BESS systems meet operational and contractual expectations.
  • Support customer reporting by preparing performance summaries, highlighting value delivered and system status.

Predictive Maintenance:

  • Collaborate with the technical teams to identify and predict potential failures or maintenance needs through data analysis.
  • Provide data-driven insights and advice for developing predictive maintenance tools built by the technical teams.

Process Optimisation:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve asset management processes and workflows.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for operational challenges, ensuring assets remain efficient and reliable.

Data Management:

  • Maintain data integrity by proactively identifying discrepancies and relaying them to the data team for swift resolution.
  • Support the implementation of dashboards and tools to improve data visualisation and accessibility for stakeholders.

What do you bring

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in asset analysis, data analysis, or a similar role, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience working with operational performance data or asset management tools.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, or Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with energy systems, renewable energy technologies, or IoT-based systems is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Economics, or a related technical field.

Adaptability:

  • Proactive and results-driven with a passion for using data to drive operational improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment where priorities may shift.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
