As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our innovative hardware, directly impacting millions of homes and accelerating the shift to eco-friendly heating solutions.
What you will do:
- You will design and develop innovative HVAC hardware for our vertically integrated product ecosystem, including smart domestic heating & cooling solutions.
- Perform complex engineering calculations to determine optimal system sizing, performance, and efficiency.
- Drive the development of features and functionalities that meet the specific requirements of European households.
- Develop and implement innovative technical solutions to achieve challenging design goals.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, system diagrams and test plans.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, controls) to ensure seamless product integration.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in HVAC technologies and trends.
- Conduct and analyze performance testing to ensure products meet design specifications and industry standards.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and development.
- Experience working within the German market, along with a strong understanding of their regulations and requirements would be a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in high-end heat pump design and development is a significant advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of propane (R290) heat pump technology is a significant advantage
- Proven experience in leading and executing complex engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral fluency in English. German is considered an advantage.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.
