Role and Responsibilities

Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics (SELS) is the Central European logistics organization of Samsung Electronics based in Delft, Tilburg and Breda in The Netherlands. SELS functions as a logistics and financial control tower within Samsung Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation and governance. SELS has approximately 200 employees located in the Netherlands and Slovakia.

As Logistics Cost Control Supervisor, you will be part of the Contracts and Innovation team located in Delft office which governs and develops contract strategy and factory operational support, in cooperation with our logistics service providers (4PL, 3PL).

Role and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

Logistics Cost Control

You will act as a supervisor for the Cost Controlling team and as a contact person for assigned subsidiaries in order to answer any questions or issues regarding logistics cost booking. Your strong excel and analytical skills will be required to analyze Logistics data (Logistics cost, logistics cost ratio trends, Actual vs. Accrual), for assigned subsidiaries.

Administration

You have to maintenance all logistics cost booking and accrual overview.

Archive all carriers’ tariff approval information, and warehouse suppliers’ rate overview.

Archive all NERP rate table, agreement tables.

Maintenance accrual vs actual cost process.

Data management and reporting

In this role you will perform Logistics Cost Control activities like tariff master data management, logistics costs booking and allocation, and manage exceptional logistics costs for assigned subsidiaries in order to manage all European Logistics Costs centrally and achieve cost-benefits. Month end is a busy time as you will need to finalize Logistics Cost Control activities for assigned subsidiaries in order to meet the closing deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

Who we are looking for

For this role we are looking for a candidate who is fluent in English with supervising skills. Our ideal candidate is a decisive and flexible problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality that is used to lead a small team.

  • Bachelor/Master degree (Preferably in Supply chain or Business management);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Min 3 years of relevant experience in a similar function (logistics preferred);
  • Financial Knowledge;
  • Highly analytical and Advanced user of Excel and Access;
  • Problem solving skills;
