Nutreco is a global leader in animal nutrition through Skretting (our Aquafeed division) and Trouw Nutrition (land animal). We are now looking for a highly motivated and skilled colleague with an organized and structured work style to administer data related to supplier quality management (SQM). In this role you’ll be an integral part of maintaining structure and accuracy of our documentation processes within our quality system. You will be responsible for the collection, reviewal, storage and maintenance of supplier, manufacturer, and ingredient related documents.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You will be in contact with suppliers to ensure that we receive relevant documentation, and your role will be to establish and maintain a good relationship with the suppliers and with our purchasers. Your responsibility is to review, upload, and maintain documents from new and existing suppliers and follow up on gaps. We will in addition need your support in creating requests for new ingredients or suppliers in our management system and subsequently follow up the assessment process. You will be trained to be a key user for this system.
  • You will also support the quality managers in handling supplier nonconformities, making sure we follow up on these in a good way. Data management will also be a big part of your responsibility, as you’ll support our quality managers in the usage of internal systems such as supplier audit program, monitoring program for hazardous substances etc. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and improve effectiveness, anticipating trends and developments.

What we ask

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, quality control, biology, chemistry, or related field.
  • Experienced user of MS Office and interest and ability to quickly learn new IT tools.
  • Fluent in English both oral and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and data.

The ideal candidate for this role, has experience from a similar role and should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively navigate a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They should demonstrate strong time management abilities, a thorough and structured work style, and being able to take initiative and working independently. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit a considerate and inclusive approach in their interactions within a multi-cultural setting. A high level of motivation and confidence in both internal and external interactions is essential for success in this role.

Preferred additional experience:

  • Knowledge of EU (Feed) legislation
  • Quality schemes (GMP+, FEMAS, ISO etc.)
  • HACCP
