Are you a driven DevOps Data Engineer who enjoys collaborating on designing, building and maintaining data environments and have knowledge of DevOps, Azure and Microsoft SQL server, among others? If the answer is yes then you are the DevOps Data Engineer that Blauwtrust Group is looking for!

Your work environment

The Blauwtrust Groep consists of the parent company Blauwtrust Groep (BTG) and its subsidiary entities De Hypotheker Associatie (DHA), Quion Groep, Dutch Mortgage Portfolio Management (DMPM) and Romeo Groep. What will you do?

As a DevOps Data Engineer you are responsible, together with colleagues, for designing, building and (automatically) managing the data environments within the company.

You are also closely involved in platform and product development and have an eye for quality standards and can apply DevOps practices and principles. Helps colleagues determine and implement the best technical solutions.

In short, as a DevOps Data Engineer:

  • Monitors substantively all relevant activities on the BTG data platform.
  • Encourages mutual knowledge transfer between Devops Data Engineers
  • Coaching of employees.
  • Ensures compliance with set SLAs.
  • Responsible for the design, build and maintenance of components that make up the BTG Data Platform;
  • Driver of innovation;
  • Analyze and interpret data issues and translate them into functional requirements;
  • You will describe technical specifications based on a functional design;
  • Applying DevOps principles;
  • Ensures that the services the organization manages are healthy, secure and operational;
  • Ensures quality standards for availability, performance, security and data privacy, monitor them and include them in the design and refinement of new solutions;
  • Contribute to the Cloud Infrastructure strategy to achieve our technical goals and improve our KPIs across service delivery;
  • Provide technical support and manage incidents as needed;
  • Find, assess and communicate security threats to stakeholders and draft a plan of action when necessary.

What do you need for this position?

As DevOps Data Engineer, you will combine your critical and independent perspective with a proactive "hands-on" mentality. In addition

  • Bachelors or Masters working and thinking level and demonstrable possession of relevant diploma;
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar position;
  • Broad knowledge of SQL and Azure and other relevant techniques, such as designing and setting up ETL/ELT processes and understanding of Data Modeling;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
