What if you are an experienced and highly organized professional ready to operate at the heart of a leading construction company? Royal BAM Group is looking for a dedicated Executive Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In this key position, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Executive Board’s activities. You’ll act as a trusted right hand, managing complex calendars, coordinating high-level meetings, and handling confidential information with discretion.

What are you going to do

Royal BAM Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to support our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a leading construction and engineering group, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and effective executive operations.

As a trusted partner to the CFO and CHRO, you will handle confidential business matters with discretion and professionalism. You are proactive, well-organized, and bring a positive, can-do mindset to everything you do. Your time management skills and attention to detail enable you to make a real impact on the business by supporting our leaders in both strategic and operational matters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate complex agendas, schedule appointments, manage priorities, and proactively process communications (including emails), ensuring efficient time use and clear internal alignment.
  • Organize and host meetings, set up (video) conferences, prepare meeting materials, draft minutes, and assist with planning and execution of key events and executive committee meetings.
  • Arrange international travel itineraries, prepare related documentation, manage expenses, and provide high-level administrative support including document drafting, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Act as a sounding board and operational partner, spotting strategic or time-sensitive issues, prompting necessary follow-ups, and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a professional presence and ensuring smooth communication across senior leadership teams.

  • A salary between € 4.700,- and € 5.880,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and excludes 8% holiday pay;
  • Good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure collective labor agreement, such as a budget for sustainable employability (2,18%), variable compensation, 25 vacation days, 15 schedule free days and 3 short-term absenteeism days per calendar year;
  • Reimbursement of your travel costs (100% public transport or a kilometer allowance), laptop and iPhone;
  • A unique opportunity to develop yourself broadly, where you stay informed of the latest techniques and knowledge through our own 'BAM Learning'. In addition, other courses and training are possible.

To thrive as an Executive Assistant to the CFO and CHRO at Royal BAM Group, you bring a helicopter view and a structured mindset. You are a trusted communicator, capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. With strong research capabilities and a proactive attitude, you anticipate needs, prevent issues before they arise, and keep the executive workflow running smoothly.

Your qualifications and key strengths:

  • You bring at least 5 years of experience supporting senior leaders in a dynamic and complex organization. You are confident making decisions independently and know how to manage priorities effectively under pressure.
  • You are a strong communicator in both Dutch and English, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally in writing and in person—internally and externally.
  • You excel at managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and aligning your activities with the strategic goals of the Executive Board. Your attention to detail, ownership, and structured way of working ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You demonstrate high levels of accountability, integrity, and discretion. You act with foresight, take initiative to drive tasks forward, and contribute to executive decision-making by anticipating needs before they arise.
  • With strong interpersonal skills, you build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You are confident working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and are comfortable navigating a digital work environment.
