Your role and responsibilities

The Salesforce Innovation Lead plays a pivotal role in driving transformative innovation within the organization by leveraging Salesforce capabilities to create disruptive solutions that facilitate business transformation. This position is essential for aligning innovative initiatives with the long-term strategic vision of ABB and enhancing overall business performance. In this capacity, the Innovation Lead acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, identifying and prioritizing innovative Salesforce-related ideas that support the execution of ABB's strategy. They will oversee a dedicated team of Salesforce experts, guiding them in supporting transformation initiatives and enabling stakeholders to understand platform best practices and the latest capabilities. The primary goal of the Salesforce Innovation Lead is to ensure the identification, prioritization, and successful implementation of disruptive ideas by providing the necessary resources and guidance to the Salesforce team. This involves facilitating collaboration between business and technical teams and empowering stakeholders with knowledge of the latest Salesforce features to drive organizational growth and transformation. By fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the Innovation Lead and their team will ensure that the organization remains competitive and responsive to market changes.

The main job responsibilities include:

• Create and implement an innovation strategy that aligns with organizational goals, focusing on identifying disruptive ideas and solutions in Salesforce to drive business value realization.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment on innovation initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in Salesforce technology, planning and executing hackathons and proof of concepts (PoCs) to pilot new capabilities with minimal risk.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather insights, understand their needs, and ensure their buy-in for innovation projects, co-driving value creation.
• Provide education to business stakeholders on the latest Salesforce features and best practices, empowering them to leverage these tools effectively.
• Design a transformation roadmap and work with stakeholders to integrate innovative solutions into business processes on the Salesforce platform.
• Lead a dedicated team of Salesforce Innovation & AI specialists, establishing KPIs to evaluate the success of initiatives and making data-driven decisions to refine processes and strategies.
• Enable training and resources to team members and stakeholders on innovation methodologies, tools, and technologies (e.g. Trailheads) to enhance capabilities and foster a culture of innovation.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, innovation & disruptive technology management, Information technology or similar. Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum 10-15 year of Business / IT experience of relevant working experience, from that at least 5 years of experience as Innovation Lead, Innovation Manager or similar role within Salesforce technologies or related fields.
• Certified Scrum Master / SAFe Scrum Master and Salesforce platform architecture is preferred. Certified Agentforce Specialist is a plus.
• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with diverse teams and stakeholders, while proactively identifying and prioritizing disruptive ideas to drive transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing business needs and technology advancements, maintaining a focus on strategic goals while actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities to guide and support a dedicated team of Salesforce experts, inspiring them to achieve their best work and effectively influencing stakeholders to gain buy-in for innovative initiatives.
• Proven experience with Salesforce technologies, including hands-on knowledge of capabilities and best practices, along with a track record of managing innovation initiatives and aligning solutions with organizational goals.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams, applying proven change management approaches to ensure successful adoption of innovative solutions.
• Possess the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels, fostering buy-in and support for innovative initiatives and ideas.
