What will you do?

As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the speed, security, and cost-efficiency of our software development processes and cloud hosting. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes that optimize collaboration between development teams and IT operations. Your tasks include:

• Designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automating and monitoring infrastructure and applications.
• Managing certificates and domains for digital assets.
• Collaborating with development teams and third parties to achieve faster and more secure product releases.
• Managing cloud environments and optimizing cloud infrastructure for scalability and performance.
• Implementing security protocols and performing compliance checks in collaboration with our security department.
• Proactively monitoring system performance and implementing (cost-) optimizations.
• Documenting processes and solutions to promote knowledge sharing within the team and aligning the working methods within Mediq.

What do you bring?

As a DevOps Engineer, you combine technical knowledge with analytical insight. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Experience with e-commerce applications, knowledge of Composable Commerce is a plus.
• Strong command of the English language and experience in an international work environment.
• Experience with security and privacy regulations.

Technical skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform and Ansible).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with supporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, SonarCloud, and Datadog.
• Experience with domain management and certification.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

Soft skills

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in collaboration with various parties.
• Team-oriented and willingness to continuously learn.
