Job Description

The Lead Commercial Analyst will continue the creation of a data-guided culture to enable Stryker commercial teams to interpret Divisional product sales performance, changing commercial business strategies, and enable dashboarding by leveraging new global IT BI platforms.

Part of the COE Analytics team, this is a strategic role to help Stryker deliver its growth strategy in Europe. Together with this team, you will create scalable, investigative capabilities which enable the Division commercial teams to reduce time spent on data searching, cleaning, reporting and shift focus towards running the business with supporting facts, insights, and foresights.

The Lead Commercial Analyst is the sparring business partner for 1 or 2 Stryker divisions in Europe, with the possibility of expansion across the EMEA region, and works with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and document analytical needs.

Is this you?

You have Experience: You have at least 4 years’ related experience in a multicultural environment.

You speak Fluent English: A key part of this role will be to work with international stakeholders across the world. Knowing one or more additional languages is a plus.

You have a Bachelor’s Degree: In science, engineering, or a related degree; a Master’s degree is an advantage.

You are Skilled Within the Following Areas:

  • Data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
  • Azure, Power BI
  • At least two programming languages central to data analytics (SQL, Python, DAX)

You love a Challenge: A self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and creating innovative solutions. You can organize and direct diverse activities in a changing environment, often under time pressure.

You Build Relationships: Lead and mentor others in root cause/problem-solving efforts, including advanced troubleshooting; Lead and deliver presentations and communications that bring business insight from the analyzed data. Next to that, you build and maintain successful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and customers.

You do the Right Thing: You have a high level of integrity, responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail. You understand the importance of keeping tabs on what is always going on in your goals/projects.

You can Juggle: Well…metaphorically at least. You have the ability to balance various priorities and tight deadlines, ensuring that the most important goals are continuously met. (But if you can actually juggle, we’d love to hear about that too.)

What will you do at Stryker?

  • Translate divisional stakeholder requirements to potential data analytics solutions independently.
  • Build and improve SQL queries, Power BI dashboards, and process automation that will gear the reporting and insights capabilities.
  • Develop and process new data streams/pipelines, implement new processes and tools to enable standardized sales KPI reporting by geographies, products, customers, and sales reps.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales operation analysts and BI analysts to support monthly and year-end processes.
  • Lead end-to-end data analytics projects for your divisions, from problem and requirements definition to code validation and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data capabilities (incl. external data sources).
  • Work with the Divisional leadership teams to ensure performance reporting, KPIs, and analysis reflect the business objectives.
  • Responsible for building org capability in data-driven target setting.
  • Participate in cross-functional European or Global projects.
  • Deliver actionable insights, KPIs, dashboards for supporting the respective VPGM and the team. Take part in initiatives to drive governance of master data.
  • Analyze Stryker and external data incl. indicator market share data. Report on market share trends leveraging industry Association data and scalable analytical data models.
