Are you looking for the next step in your career? As our new French speaking Senior Environmental and/or Social (E&S) Consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable and socially responsible development with a special focus on the maritime sector (ports) and other water-related projects. You will ensure that our clients are not only prepared for the challenges of today but also those that may arise in the next decade and beyond.

What you do as a Senior Environmental and/or Social Consultant

In your role as Senior E&S Consultant, you will assess and manage the complex web of environmental and social factors and the multiple stakeholders that intersect with infrastructure projects worldwide; with the aim of ensuring responsible, sustainable, and compliant practices, while raising the benefits for society. Your work has a direct impact on both the success of the project and the protection or enhancement of the surrounding habitats, environment, and livelihoods of people. The services range from Feasibility Studies, (Strategic) Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, E&S Due Diligence for project proponents and lenders, Mitigation, Offset and Management Plans, and roadmaps for improved E&S performance in operations.

Ports are critical components of global trade and commerce, but also play a pivotal role in the energy transition. With these developments, the potential for adverse environmental and social impacts need to be addressed in an early stage to inform project feasibility, design, and management choices.

Within our projects, you will take the lead in guiding our team of E&S experts and consultants, and also mentoring junior staff.

To do this, you will:

  • Advise clients (project developers, lenders, and their consultants) on environmental and social performance.
  • Work closely with public, private, and non-governmental stakeholders to ensure that environmental and social aspects are integrated into the projects in an effective and feasible way.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of experts and consultants. This involves working closely with engineers, environmental specialists, ecologists, and social experts.
