Job Description

Job Title: Internship: M&A Project Management (non thesis)

Please note, this internship is in the M&A Integration & Disentanglement team, this is not per se a Finance focused internship (such as deal modeling, valuation, comps analysis), but more related to Program Management of the Integration and Separation programs for Philips Acquisitions and Divestments.

In this role, you have the opportunity to apply project management methodologies by analyzing current practices, define best practices for the Program Management Office (PMO) and implement improvements in the Post-Merger-Integration & Disentanglement (PMI&D) team. This PMI&D team consists of program managers and functional experts who lead the post-merger integration and disentanglement activities for acquisitions, divestments or Joint Ventures to ensure a smooth transition into Royal Philips, ensuring value creation and business objectives.

You are responsible for

  • Providing a consultative role to projects and M&A PMI&D Post-Merger Integration team by identifying, setting, and maintaining best practices, effectively implementing changes in ways of working towards efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting in ensuring quality control for project management across the PMI and the functional experts team.
  • Supporting the proper maintenance of the PMO repository (OneNote, SharePoint etc.) and cross-projects communication (e.g. helping with preparing project meetings from the PMI leads’ calendars, PMO account etc.).
  • Helping the Program Management Officer and the program managers with organizing events, training's, workshops, project logistics etc.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You are currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master Degree in: Business Administration, (International) Business Management, Business Economics, Organizational studies, Engineering or Healthcare Sciences.
  • You are fluent in oral and written English and you have excellent interpersonal/communication skills with a high attention to details and ability to multitask efficiently.
  • You are familiar with MS Office suite.
