Cloud Engineer Opportunity at Fleet Robotics

Would you like to contribute to the software at an innovative maritime company that’s rapidly expanding internationally? Are you skilled at connecting systems, improving processes, and automating workflows using modern cloud tools? Have you completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field? Then keep reading!

Fleet Robotics is a fast-growing company specializing in ship cleaning and inspection using Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Within our engineering department, the software team plays a central role in developing smart, scalable, and data-driven solutions for both internal operations and client-facing applications.

As a Cloud Engineer, your primary focus will be on improving existing processes through data integration, low-code solutions, and workflow automation. You won’t be working on software that runs directly on our robotic systems, but instead on the digital ecosystem that powers and supports our operations.

Responsibilities

In the role of Cloud Engineer, your key tasks include:

  • Designing data flows that efficiently integrate operational and external data sources;
  • Improving and automating business processes using cloud-based tools (such as Microsoft Azure);
  • Working with low-code platforms to configure and link applications and dashboards;
  • Creating data visualizations and building user-friendly dashboards for various teams;
  • Testing, optimizing, and maintaining these tools and workflows within our digital infrastructure.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience with Python programming and working in a cloud environment;
  • Experience with SQL servers and Azure is a plus;
  • The ability to work well both independently and collaboratively within a team.

What We Offer

For the role of Cloud Engineer, we provide:

  • A challenging position with plenty of responsibilities and room for personal input;
  • A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €5,000, depending on experience;
  • 8% holiday allowance and 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment);
  • Participation in the Fleet Robotics pension scheme;
  • A well-catered lunch and a relaxed Friday afternoon get-together at the office.

About Fleet Robotics

Fleet Robotics has set a new standard in ship cleaning, with the ambition to become the global one-stop shop for underwater ship services. We’re a growing team that continuously works to enhance and expand our technology. Currently, we operate four cleaning installations in Europe’s largest seaports, along with multiple inspection stations worldwide.
