Our Global Data platform is the key in ING’s journey to become Data enabled. We are looking for a Product Area Lead in our Global Data Platform Tribe being responsible for the development, roll out and continuous enhancement of the data foundation and support services globally. This senior leader will play a key role in the transformation of ING’s global data platform. 🌍

The Team

The Product Area Lead role is pivotal in our Global Data platform Tribe. You will be part of the Tribe MT. You will be functionally steering product owners and product teams across different ING entities and domains driving both strategy development and roadmap delivery. You will collaborate with our strategic IT partners and IT teams in driving the transformation of our platform services.

Roles and responsibilities

The Data Foundation and Support Product Area is at the heart of our Global Data ecosystem. The foundation and support services will be a catalyst of our innovation and paradigm shift in how data is being managed in ING in a globally networked model.

As a Product Area lead you will be responsible for:

• Understanding the requirements of key stakeholders and customers for the global data marketplace.
• Understanding of relevant market trends and developments (horizons 1–3) and the translation of these into vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Building a strong relationship with all stakeholders within ING as well as external stakeholders like vendors and other relevant outside parties.
• Co-developing and updating our Global Data Platform vision and strategy, you will translate this strategy into a global backlog.
• You steer the delivery and make sure we deliver on promise. You know what is going on in the squads, actively manage dependencies, resolve impediments, and keep track on our velocity.
• The full productization of the Global Data Marketplace including ‘P&L’ and performance.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A track record of entrepreneurship in creating new products or services within complex stakeholder environments
• Deep experience and knowledge in Data Management and/or Data Platforms
• Strong background in IT is a high preference
• Excellent communication skills at all levels with the ability to translate complex solutions into clear benefits and requirements
• You have a strong resilience and can navigate through ambiguity
