Introduction to the Job

During ASML's Agile transformation, the IT organization transitioned into Business Facing ARTs and Platform ARTs. As part of this transformation, the SAP Platform Engineer role became a crucial part of the SAP Platform ART.

Job Mission

The SAP Platform Engineer ensures a robust, reliable, and available technical application landscape based on ASML's technology catalog. This role focuses on maintaining serviceability, standardization, and optimization of the SAP platform while ensuring security compliance. The SAP Platform Engineer collaborates with internal and external teams to drive operational excellence and ensure a sustainable infrastructure roadmap.

Role and Responsibilities

As an SAP Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and managing SAP technical application requirements, ensuring compatibility with existing ecosystems.
  • Acting as the key link between service providers, Agile IT ARTs, and Business Facing ARTs.
  • Owning high-level technical design documents and optimizing the use of standard technology components.
  • Designing secure application integrations/interfaces while identifying necessary firewall rules.
  • Ensuring secure access management for end users and application administrators.
  • Overseeing the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP applications and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring application performance, availability, and capacity, and handling technical issue resolution.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Extensive SAP technical expertise, including SAP ECC, ABAP, and Java-based SAP systems.
  • Strong experience with SAP HANA TDI infrastructure and cloud-based deployments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Knowledge of modern data transformation tools (e.g., SLT, SDI).
  • Experience with multi-cloud SAP architecture, including hybrid and SaaS-based SAP solutions.
  • Understanding of IT security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing complex SAP landscapes in an enterprise environment.
