Create a dashboard to monitor the application landscape for PACCAR Financial Europe

PFE-ITD manages a complex application landscape with multiple integration layers and interfaces. Currently, there’s no single point to overview our application landscape, identify issues in real-time, and track the status of our integration layers. Information is scattered in (project)documents, log files, systems, etcetera. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and to have an overview across our systems. Your assignment will be to:

• Setup the requirements for a dashboard to monitor the application landscape
• Investigate which possible applications can be used
• Propose an application
• Design the dashboard in the application and connect possible sources in an agile way
• Conduct testing and validation of the dashboard to ensure accuracy and functionality
• Document the development process and create user guides for future reference.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving dashboard features and usability

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with the following skill set.

• HBO/WO student who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data integration concepts
• Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana) is a plus
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of managing time effectively.
• Language skills: English (written and verbal)
• Preferred period of the internship: 4-5 months starting in September 2025.

Afdeling

PACCAR Financial Europe (PFE) provides financial services to DAF dealers and end customers to support the sales of DAF trucks. PFE is part of the worldwide PACCAR Financial organization, has its headquarters in Eindhoven at the DAF premises, and is active in a large number of European countries with its own sales offices and used trucks centers. The PFE Information Technology department is responsible for the development, configuration, testing, and deployment of innovative IT solutions, management of these systems during their lifecycle, and support of the users of these systems. PFE-IT consists of approximately 25 FTE, of which 20 are internal, and works according to the agile framework. Most of the systems are subject to SOx regulations.

PFE contains 4 lines of business areas: Wholesale Financing to DAF-dealers, Retail Financing to End Customers, Short Term Leasing, and Asset Management & Used Trucks Remarketing. The Retail Financing systems landscape has been renewed recently, and a new state-of-the-art systems landscape for Asset Management & Used Trucks Remarketing is currently under development as part of a large IT project. Other projects are already planned.
