We are seeking a TM Product Manager within Model Risk Management to oversee the governance, validation, and risk management of AML Transaction Monitoring (TM) Models, covering the RNL and WR businesses. This role ensures that models used for detecting unusual activities are effective, well governed, compliant with internal and regulatory expectations, and aligned with risk management frameworks.
The successful candidate will provide close support to the Model Risk Lead on all matters relating to TM Model Risk, including model validation, ongoing monitoring, risk mitigation, governance oversight and regulatory/audit compliance, in collaboration with key stakeholders across FEC, Financial Crime and Technology.
Key responsibilities
1. Strategic Oversight and Leadership
- Provide close support to the Model Risk Lead, providing senior level oversight and decision-making support when required
- Drive the model risk strategy, helping to enhance the overall governance and validation approach for AML TM Models
- When required lead on interactions with audit and senior stakeholders, ensuring model risk practices align with regulatory expectations
- Mentor and develop junior colleagues, providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing and development opportunities
- Embed a culture of proactive risk management, ensuring risks are identified and addressed as early as possible
- Define and enforce best practices, standardising governance, documentation, and issue resolution processes, simplifying where possible.
2. Risk Management & Stakeholder Management
- Support Model Risk Lead in executive reporting, preparing, and presenting key risk insights for senior management and risk committees
- Collaborate with Model Functionality, Financial Crime Compliance, Technology teams to align risk assessments with model enhancements
- Act as a senior representative when participating in model governance forums, risk committees and regulatory discussions.
Key Skills/Experience
- Proven experience in model risk management, model validation, or risk assessment within AML/Financial Crime
- Strong knowledge of AML TM models, risk-based alerting, and regulatory expectations
- Expertise in model governance best practices, independent validation, and risk management frameworks
- Experience in data driven analysis, model testing and ongoing performance tracking
- Ability to translate technical model risk findings into clear, actionable insights for risk committees and business stakeholders
You and your talent
- Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree
- You have at least 5 years relevant work experience in FEC preferably Transaction Monitoring
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the area of TM compliance and regulations, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and emerging trends
- Knowledge of international innovation and trends regards TM
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to continuously innovate the coverage framework
