Life at Tiqets

What you will do

As а Tax Assistant, you will be part of the Tiqets Finance team and report to the International Tax Manager. Together with the International Tax Manager you ensure compliance with taxes worldwide and drive the tax function to the next level while optimising it.

The role involves working closely with the business to work on new ideas, monitoring and managing risks in relation to the tax position worldwide, preparing and reviewing tax compliance documents, and ensuring other tax requirements and filings are fulfilled. The focus area will be indirect taxes (VAT/sales tax).

You are a team player, result-driven, ambitious, and like getting things done as quickly as possible, smartly, and accurately. Expect a lot of learning on the job in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full VAT compliance in all countries.

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the tax control framework.

• Research, interpret, and evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed company transactions / ideas.

• Prepare US sales tax filings and provide support in relation to other sales taxes items.

• Provide support in tax audits worldwide.

• Monitor tax developments.

• Assist with the implementation of technology to standardize and automate tax processes.

• Review of contracts from a tax perspective.

Qualifications

• HBO/WO degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics

• 1+ years of experience in a relevant role

• Excellent knowledge of Excel

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, as well as being a solutions-oriented team player

• Eager to learn and develop

• Strong communication skills

• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus

• Living in the Netherlands (No HSM is applicable)
