Data Science | Business Analytics Internship: Monitoring, Reporting & Analytics

Introduction

The Legal & Compliance monitoring, reporting & analytics program supports the data monitoring, analysis, and reporting needs associated with various projects and operations within our department. We do this to further quantifiably substantiate our legal & compliance risk assessments, measure the effectiveness of our compliance controls towards positively changing employee behavior, as well as prepare for more advanced analytics that can predict emerging risks and effective risk mitigation strategies.

Your Assignment

For this internship role, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in various activities such as data wrangling, dashboard development & maintenance, documentation, and reporting out of key performance indicators (KPIs). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain firsthand experience in data analytics, project management, and communication within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of data monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Support the rollout and deployment of KPIs.
  • Support deployment of MRA templates, so that we work in a uniform way department-wide.
  • Help our colleagues familiarize with tooling such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Support the team with their daily activities and projects.

Your Profile

To be a perfect fit for this internship, you:

  • Have a background in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Have great affinity and are enthusiastic about data.
  • Have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and familiarity with Power BI, Spotfire, Python, and other automation tools is a plus.
  • Have attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Other Requirements You Need to Meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
