Senior Partner Marketing Manager

As a Senior Partner Marketing Manager at Backbase, you will be responsible for driving joint marketing initiatives and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies with our global strategic partners, including Management Consulting Firms, Technology Partners, Ecosystem Partners, Cloud Service Providers, and Global Systems Integrators. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across the Partner team, Sales, and Marketing function to plan, develop, and execute co-branded campaigns that enhance pipeline growth, partner engagement, and Backbase’s brand awareness. You will also work closely with senior external stakeholders across our strategic partner network to support ideation and execution of joint campaigns and go-to-market motions.

You will manage the Market Development Fund (MDF) budget, oversee partner marketing tools, and ensure that partners are well represented in both regional and global Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives. This role is pivotal to scaling Backbase's partner ecosystem and driving mutual success through marketing collaboration.

What you'll do

  • Design & Execute Global Partner Marketing Program: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global partner marketing program and framework that aligns with Backbase’s strategic goals and partner ecosystem, to strengthen partner relationships, co-marketing efforts, and joint market positioning.
  • Joint Marketing & Campaign Execution: Lead the development, execution, and optimization of co-branded marketing campaigns with global partners to drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue. Collaborate with strategic partners to deliver joint go-to-market and/or laser-focused Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Initiatives: Align partner marketing efforts with Backbase’s global and regional GTM strategies, ensuring that partner solutions and joint value propositions are well-integrated and effectively communicated.
  • Cross-functional Alignment & Coordination: Work closely with sales, product, and partner teams to align partner marketing initiatives with business priorities, ensuring seamless collaboration and consistent messaging across all partner touchpoints.
  • Partner Enablement & Tools: Ensure that partners have access to the necessary marketing collateral, tools, and resources to drive co-branded campaigns. Collaborate with internal teams to develop partner marketing kits, including messaging, creative assets, and sales enablement materials.

Market Development Fund (MDF) Management: Own and manage the MDF budget, ensuring efficient and impactful allocation of resources. Track and report on MDF utilization, ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes for partner marketing activities.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track the effectiveness of joint campaigns and marketing initiatives through KPIs such as pipeline contribution and partner engagement. Provide regular performance insights to both internal and partner teams, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, partner marketing, or channel marketing within the enterprise software industry, preferably in fintech.
  • Proven experience executing successful joint marketing campaigns with technology partners, GSIs, or management consulting firms.
  • Strong understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies, with a focus on driving revenue and engagement.
  • Experience managing Market Development Fund (MDF) budgets and tracking marketing ROI.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in marketing automation, CRM (Salesforce), and analytics tools.
